The significant item of this collection is a diary authored by John C. Cozine which documents a trip (including a careful account of expenditures) from Harrodsburg, Ky. to New York City made by Cozine in 1828. These materials also include a variety of documentation (correspondence, photographic copies of genealogical excerpts from different sources and historical sketches) and research carried out in 1968 and 1974 on establishing a link between the Cozine family to Wolfert Webber and Anneke Jans of Amsterdam. Some of the documentation work was done by staff at the University of Kentucky Libraries for the pupose of verification before publishing the diary.
